We had a number of photoshoots with Jo Tennant to capture images of Trudy and Patrick which could then be combined with watercolour paintings to create the finished illustrations seen above.

Portobello Book Festival 2022

So much joy and positivity for at the book when we spoke at the festival on Saturday 1st October. Patrick and Trudy (and wee sister Georgie) were wonderful co-hosts at this truly inclusive and celebratory event.
